Mum said it was getting ridiculous that we furries had not ventured outside for days. Well, can you blame us? We're not daft, we saw that white stuff fall from the sky and we know it's cold on little paws. But mum is sneaky sometimes. She opened the front door and I was a bit tempted to be honest. I mean, why go out of the cat flap, every kitty knows it's way easier and much more fun to sit miaowing by the door until the humans open it for you.
But crikey, it's still freeezing out there. Mum, Mum! Let me in! I've been out for at least two minutes now.
Muuum...I'm sitting on the window sill... doing my sad, cold furry face...
Ha, that's better! And what's more there's a nice warm hottie right here, with my eidy and cushions, for me to toast on!
Purrrrrrrr.
It's so cold here...I used your idea and got out my warm hottie for myself yesterday! Cute!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, not letting my two cats read this post, it might give them ideas about having hottie botties!
ReplyDeleteMaura
My cats won't go out either. Usually Tizer stays in anyway but he is most put out that Marley and Kasper are staying in too xx
ReplyDeleteHe is just too beautiful!! Love the flowery cushions. they look pretty cozy happy and bright

Ditto the above comment ..... he is one gorgeous boy!
ReplyDeleteDear Hen - oh dear your cats do look mightily cold. Having radiators being moved today - so no heating - what a day to choose to do that.
ReplyDeleteLove your snowy photos and beautiful views of your garden.
Thank you for calling round and your kind words - a fellow Arts and Crafts fan - I think that it is the fact it is soooo well designed and beautifully made - just like your quilts in fact!
Keep warm and please let your cats in!
Best wishes
Jenny
I have become very familiar over the past few days with the look of outrage at being thrown outside for 'a run around' and the look of desperation and distress when one has been outside for more than ten seconds. Anyone who thinks cats can't express things through facial expressions alone clearly has never seen a cat on what the cat considers to be the wrong side of a door or window on a cold day.
ReplyDeleteHello - I just want to post a warning to any of your cat readers who have cattens under 1 year in their home - do NOT let them share your eidie and hottie! My new little friend Blackberry came for a winter snuggle with me and got carried away with kneading her claws. Older cats like me do not like having their cozy corners flooded, thank you very much, Miss Blackberry!
ReplyDeleteBest regards,
Blue Bad-Cat, owner of Jenann the human bean
He has a very sad face in the first picture but utter contentment in the second one! How I miss my kitty George.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to let him guest blog again sometime. He did a great job.
Blessings,
Betsy
Your guest blogger really made me laugh. What a spoiled pair they are. Beautiful, much-loved furry friends!
ReplyDeleteDear Hen,
ReplyDeleteToday I discovered your beautiful blog and looked at it for hours. Thank you for sharing your stylish scrumptiousness. It's all so lovely!
Ah very sweet, just read another blog with a guest blogger, that time being a cute dog.
ReplyDeleteSo darn cute!! Hope you are having a lovely day Hen! xo Heather
ReplyDeletePoor poor frozen kitty!!!!! Mine are all in front of the wood stove!!!
ReplyDeleteWell hello you handsome boy. Ginge, you know best, I went out in the snow for 5 mins and next day I had really bad cystitis and upset tum. I'm afraid I had some accidents but Mum forgave me and today I am all better. Love Rosie Cat xx p.s. hope that wasn't TYI, I know you big boys can be sensitive souls.
ReplyDeletePuuuuuuurrrrrrrr mwah mwah
Cats & snow are not a good combo. Even the stray that I feed has been staying in the warm with us, he normally only comes in for food & then disappears off out for the rest of the day. My cats have their own hotties (and their own quilts too!) Spoilt?? Most definitely :)
ReplyDeleteLOL, he looks very content snuggled on the sofa now.
ReplyDeleteLook at his little face bless him!
ReplyDeleteThea x
bless his little cotton socks.....too cute for words.
ReplyDeleteCath @ Bits 'n Bobs
Bless him..... cats aren't daft, why would you want to go out in the cold when it's cosy & warm at home xx
ReplyDeleteI just love your cats! Jacky Ginge and Charley boy are the reasons I let our tortoise shell Polly have a litter. Them and my daughters nagging. Fortunately she delivered my beloved ginger boy Dougal who's favourite cosy place is on his back stretched out on a radiator, wedged between the wall and the back of our old church pew! Hysterical. Glad you're back on your hotty Ginge xxx
ReplyDeleteThats a sweetie,
